Here’s the list of the 55 colleges under federal investigation for mishandling sexual assault. Is your college on the list? My alma mater, University of Colorado at Boulder is here. If you are also an alumna, tell the institution you will donate no funds until they take action to protect the human rights of their students. If you are a student or if your child is a student, or if you know or care about a student at one of these institutions, contact the school and make your voice heard. Do something to end the epidemic of violence against women and girls in the USA.

I recently made a sexual harassment complaint against one of these universities, and it was handled very poorly. I know of another case at the same university where the complaint was completely ignored. Knowing the university is being investigated, we are both making reports about the handling of our complaints. I hope others will come forward as well.
I read something (and now don’t recall where) that suggested that schools where this was reported and investigated were safer, because it meant that the victims felt safe enough to report the crime. It’s an interesting idea, but I’d still be horrified if a school my child was attending had made that list.
